The beautifully picturesque northern Black Forest begins in the East; the Rhine River flows gently past our doorstep; and if you venture just a little further, you’ll find yourself in Alsace with the Vosges mountains forming a stunning backdrop, the landscape here is delightfully beautiful and filled with everything a holidaymaker’s heart could desire. To top it all, the climate here is wonderfully mild – thanks to the Belfort gap!

For example, the Baden wine route has much to offer. Here you can sample exquisite wines and a wide range of Baden specialities.
Baden-Baden
World-famous, the spa town of Baden-Baden nestles at the foot of the mountains, just 15km away from the site.
The Caracalla thermal baths and the beautiful Friedrichsbad bathhouse are located here, alongside numerous interesting museums. The famous Frieder Burda Museum is worth a visit not only for its exceptional architecture, but also for the interesting exhibitions it hosts regularly. Hosting classic and pop concerts, the famous festival hall in the town caters to music lovers across the board. The Südwestrundfunk broadcasting company also has its headquarters here in the town.
Alsace
Naturally, the nearby Alsace region is also full of culinary and cultural highlights.
Must-sees in Strasbourg include the Cathédrale Notre-Dame and the picturesque Petite-France district, which is home to lots of interesting festivals and cultural events. Strasbourg, which attracts millions of visitors every year, is approx. 40km away.
Europa-Park
Germany’s largest theme park attracts even more visitors!
The Europa-Park theme park in Rust is extremely popular amongst our guests. Here, be sure not to miss the new indoor “Rulantica” Water World. There are also various spa facilities here – see and enjoy them for yourself!
Karlsruhe
With its bustling night life and lots of cultural highlights,
this fan-shaped city is just a 45-minute drive from Freizeitcenter Oberrhein. Home to cinemas, theatres, the Europabad Water Park, and the ZKMCentre for Art and Media, there’s something for everyone here – including for the (rare) occasions when it rains!
