5. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small text files stored on your device when you visit. They contain information related to your device, but not directly to your identity.

Cookies serve to make our site more user-friendly (e.g., session cookies to save login info or shopping cart content during a visit, which are deleted afterward). We also use temporary cookies to recognize returning users and store inputs/settings.

Data processed by cookies is necessary for our legitimate interests under Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you may configure your browser to delete or block cookies. Full deactivation may restrict functionality.

6. Online Marketing and Analysis Measures

On our website, we use online marketing measures and tracking tools to analyze user behavior. This statistical data collection helps us design our website to meet your needs, continuously adapt it, and optimize its use.

b) Google Analytics
For the purpose of needs-based design and continuous optimization of our websites, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).

In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are set. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, and time of the server request) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymization is activated, your IP address will be truncated within the EU or other contracting states of the EEA. Google uses this information to evaluate website use, compile reports on activities, and provide further services relating to internet use. Our legitimate interest also lies in these purposes.

The legal basis is § 15 (3) TMG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Data may be transferred to third parties if legally required or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data. IP addresses are anonymized (IP masking).

Data linked with cookies, user IDs, or advertising IDs is automatically deleted after 14 months. Deletion takes place automatically once a month.

Further information:

Opt-Out Options:

  • Prevent cookie storage via browser settings (may limit website functions).

  • Alternatively, set an opt-out cookie: Deactivate Google Analytics. This cookie only applies to this browser and website. After deleting browser cookies, you must set it again.

c) Google AdWords / Conversion Tracking
We use the Google AdWords program with conversion tracking. A cookie is set when you click on a Google ad. It expires after 30 days and does not identify you personally.

If you visit certain pages and the cookie is still valid, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected. Each AdWords customer receives a unique cookie.

The information is used to create conversion statistics. Customers see how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected, but no personal identification is possible.

The legal basis is § 15 (3) TMG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Opt-out: Prevent cookies from googleadservices.com via browser settings.
